I stumbled across this old 16mm silent film this morning. Not sure if it has been posted already, but there is a lot of great equipment. EP-5's, PA's, FA's, even a US Army MRS-1.

Ron thank you for posting this film of REAL railroading in the 1950's.
One can get plenty of actual RR operation pointers, by watching this film, especially that I model my RR's. of the past RR. industry.

Really nice video. the first half hour seemed to be all Providence RI. I went to college there and you could even see the building my apartment was in the shots of the old east side tunnel to the now abandoned / Bike path Bristol branch. I was very familiar with the Atwells Ave area as well and didn't see any of that area. I also would have loved to see the Narrangansett Brewery area.
