Must be like sponsor ads here at the top of the page.  Whenever you're looking for a specific one, it's never there!!!

Seriously though, I'd like to see if what they're saying correlates with the info that was posted here on the forum a couple of weeks ago.  Can't imagine why it wouldn't.  But I'd still like to see it, since I had the 18" MKT Texas Special aluminum cars on order from Charlie Ro.  Haven't seen any email yet.

Care to elaborate on the info about 18" cars?

It's ironic that they're still listing the 18" MKT Texas Special aluminum cars as having an ETA of 4/10/2015.  Yet I thought those were cancelled by Lionel, and being replaced with the 21" plastic version.

The note that was posted here a couple of weeks ago by a forum sponsor looked pretty "definitive" on the subject.  Yet when I placed an order with Charles Ro last week for some 2015 items and inquired about the 18" aluminum sets being canceled, the person I spoke with didn't know anything about product SKU's being canceled.    I found it a bit odd, so we just left my 18" MKT pre-order on the books for now.  I'd LOVE to see them, but somehow I'm not holding my breath either.

...

Thanks Pete.  Not really all that surprised to hear it.  Was just hoping to see the 18" versions.  I'm not planning to order the 21" versions either.  I think Lionel made a HUGE mistake going down that route.

Prior to 2015, the various importers had their own niche markets in which each of them was doing quite well.  Now everyone is into each other's territory:  Lionel trying to get into GGD's, and GGD moving into Lionel's... Lionel abandoning aluminum for plastic like MTH did years ago, etc...

It'll be interesting to see how all the dust settles, and I don't think it will be pretty.  But hey, what do I know?  I'm just the lowly consumer.

Someone had posted an Ad or flyer with the pricing, passenger cars that were cancelled, and what replaced them.  They then must have deleted while I was posting.

Here it is...Ro Info

I missed your response as I was copying and pasting all those separate sections. Folks tend to miss links here sometimes( or find it too much work to click and go to a specific example) so I'll leave it up in that case.
