Night photos of "THE BRIDGE"...my find at York!!

I like the lights on the bridge but to me (and believe me I'm no photographer) the photos seem to dark.

Now if you can shoot fireworks off of it at midnight on New Years eve you really got something!  LOL!

Spence...I agree...and it is obvious I am no photographer either...LOL!!  As I said in my post above, I didn't have the camera set on low light so perhaps that is part of the problem?  Anyway, this is going to inspire me to add flood lights to the bridge which will be easy since I think a strip of leds pointed upward along the bottom edge of the roadway section should do nicely.

Marty...I like the way you think!!  Bring the fireworks!

Great idea. Here are a few pictures for inspiration. Note the coat hanger in the fireworks shot. Aussies irreverently refer to the bridge as the "coat hanger."

The lighting does show the two levels with the cars on the lower level, which is cool.  The lights on top as Jennifer pointed out really enhance it.  Helpful for low flying helicopter pilots as well!

Thanks for the great comments....and boy am I not going to be able to live down that helicopter ride on the other thread!!...too low to the ground I guess..LOL!

Alan, I must agree with Spence a little dark…… I hope you don't loose that part-time job you have at PLAYBOY photographing the Centerfolds…….. LOL

Charlie...thanks for your help in me getting the bridge....you encouraged me to inquire and that is why it is on my layout now.  Hope you took a look at the other thread so that you can see how well it fit in the space I had.

Hi Alan • Below is one of your photos, that I tried to bring up more high lights in the water. No information in the pixels to bring out the whites. (highlights) 

Suggestion for your photo experiment • Soft box pointed on the the water.

Thanks guys again for the suggestions.  As I said in the first post, the photos are not all that good...I just wanted you to get the idea of what it looks like at night.  I will take more and better photos...I promise..!!

Lighting shinning up on the sides of the bridge would really enhance it during night time pictures.
