Another Home run from Menards. This is the most colorful building that has been brought out, lots of fine detail and even has Sandy the horse.  She's the one that bucked me off when I was small (maybe that's why I hate horses).. Lots of lights and fine detail on all sides of the building. Unfortunately the wire for the  Red Owl sign has come off inside, Don't know if my big hands can get in the opening, but will try later.. I'm curious as to where the name "Red Owl" came from. Is there a back story to that? I'm from the south, so the red owl supermarket chain is new to me. I am not criticizing it at all. We have a chain of super markets down here called "Piggly Wiggly" which is an odd name also.

Have (had) them here as well. Believe the Butera Grocery folks own the brand now.
