I'm trying to find out when the next steamer will head out of the Cheyenne Shops? Is there any word of the 844 running briefly in 2015? I finally got tickets on The Frontier Days Trip to Cheyenne from Denver, after trying for years. I see they have E9s tentatively scheduled as motive power for the trip. I was hoping they would slip the 844 on the front end at the last minute and make the trip extra special. Anybody got an inside scoop on UP Steam for 2015?

Kevin, If you look at my Cheyenne Depot Days photo album you will see that the 844 is partially disassembled and being worked on. Since Frontier Days is in July and this is May there is no chance it will be running by then. Sorry!
