Ralph M, thank you for including a Reading SD45. Here's an early custom painted Williams SD45. These SD45 bodies were designed to fit FM Train Master frames. They were secured by two screws underneath each end, not by a single screw in the body above each pilot. They had FM truck sideframes as well as fuel and air tanks. When Williams SD45 handrails, diecast truck sides and a big black plastic fuel tank were available, I installed them. SD45 truck sides conceal the wider space between the center and inner wheels and axles.

I believe the Nickel Plate was sold to the Ohio Central. The GG-1 was in bad shape put it is now being restored.

OK, that would be 763 then (did go to Jerry Jacobson) I thought that was a current pic of the GG1.

The last few weeks have not been good ones for my luck in getting good pictures/video of my catches.

First up, a short video of a UP SD70ACe and NS GE engine passing behind the Pittsburgh Pirates' PNC Park.

Next, some really poor shots of a Union RR freight crossing over a bridge behind my car (hence the mirror shot). I recommend viewing those photos enlarged to full screen.

GG1 cosmetically restored.......

Oh how I'd love to see a GG1 fully restored and running......but that is more impossible than seeing a running Jawn Henry......the experts says they can't be restored due to the toxic nature of the loco. 

I like big scale engines and big sound running O Gauge Scale and G Scale 1:29 … but the RMT trains are fun to run.  Here, I have the Beef Mini F3s Norfolk Southern ABBA with 7 NS Streamline Passenger cars.  Notice that the second B unit (powered) was putting out smoke but these engine are not equipped with a smoke unit … oops!  I didn't notice the smoke until watching the video.  At the end you can see wisps of smoke above the B unit.  Emailed Walter M at RMT and he was right on it and instructed me to send it to him and he will remedy it.  Thanks for the great service Walter!!!

I like the photos from your side view mirror, even though Mr. Rooter's daughter is hogging up one view.  She is along Route 8 in Butler too.  LOL

BUT... I gotta' have one like the above Mop engine (nasty weathering and all) for my KC Lines... so one of these days I'll tackle it.

 

Did something similar with my previous HO layout theme from many years (1998) ago: The Kansas City & Gulf. Modeled it as a bankrupt line in 1970 so I could run junky engines. I think you'll quickly recognize the inspiration for my KC&G scheme as well as the weathering techniques I used to emulate faded/eroding paint in this leftover KC&G HO engine...

I watched all three ply the rails near my home.  Started in the early '60s actually with B&O F units.  Now everything is painted for the Buffalo and Pittsburgh Or whatever patchwork of power they come up with.  Yours is looking good!

I finally opted to get rid of the 0-27 curves on my inner loop and go to 0-31. Haven't really run any trains on it except some test runs/clearance check runs but I'm happy to have another loop to run my big engines - 4-6-4s, 2-8-8-2s, 2-8-2s, ES44, etc. Previously they were limited to the outside 0-42 loop while my smaller locos stuck to my inner and upper loops. The upper loop is still 0-27 and I have no intention to change that. 

 

I may purchase another Ross switch (anyone want a "parts" switch? Check the For Sale forum shortly!) for another siding. Will have to see what I can do downstairs. I like a lot of action but have felt rather "bored" with the current layout but don't want to expand considering a move in the next few years is going to happen. May put up a "suggestion for improvement" post in the future.
