Anyone know of 1447 and 1445 bulb LED replacements that will work with Post War Lionel AC transformers?
I'm looking for screw in and twist in (bayonet) bulbs replace my 1445 and 1447 bulbs in Lionel lamp posts to reduce wattage use

Thanks for the input guys.
I just ordered 10 bulbs on the bay from a China firm, they look the same as someone else has for 4x the price and advertises AC/DC. I should have them in 9 days or so and will report back.
About 5 years ago I bought 2 LED 1145 replacement bulbs from a Carlisle, PA car show vendor to test them out with AC - still burning bright, I wish I kept the brand or vendor's name
Town and Country Hobbies sells drop-in LED Bulbs for some Lionel products: https://stores.towncountryhobbies.com/leds/
UPDATE: I received the 10 screw base bulbs I ordered on the 'bay. They work like a charm. Just ordered 10 more from the same vendor as well as 10 bayonet based LED bulbs. $2.50 each when buying 10 or more. I put them in my street lights - with the tops on ya can't tell the diff between incandescent and LED
The original bulbs use 2W each, these only .6W. These 10 alone stopped the lighting overload on my lighting transformer (a ZW). the diff is great, 20W usage with the original bulbs, only 6W with the LED's
Email me if you want the vendor's info.
I'm still waiting for the shipment from China with cheap (.85 each) bulbs to see how they work, and if they will work, with AC current, their ad said DC only
John how about a few nighttime pics of Warrenville with your new LEDs….would like to see.
I've had good results from my Town & Country bulbs. Some on my layout are more than three years old. I'll buy more from them.

Sure, Rich.
I'll post them next week after I receive and install my latest order of 20
I have 100 -200 Town and Country LEDs of varying types installed for over 10 years. No failures yet. My only complaint is the clear LEDs I used for street lights were too bright (color temperature wise). I toned them down with translucent orange paint.
Town and Country is a excellent source for light bulbs. We used them for years.
Updates:
I'm happy with the bulbs I bought, no more overloaded lighting ZW. The promised night time layout pics are in another post I made this morning; Warrenville at night.
Today I received the LED bulbs I ordered from China on the 'bay at 1/3rd the price (about .89 cents each). These were advertised as DC only. That said I have been running a test with a Lionel AC transformer for over an hour so far and still burning bright:
Another LED source.
John, the 1445 LED lights that you recently bought, are they 18v? What I keep finding are ones that are for auto use and are 12v.

BRicch,
The original 30 that I bought are 18V. $2.50 each
The 10 I just received from China (from the 'bay) are 12V. .89 cents each.
Email me if you want links to either of these sellers.
I also have a 12 VDC power supply which I use for 12 VDC candelabra based LED bulbs for Department 56 buildings and to drive electronic circuits like IR Detectors, custom logic circuits, traffic light control, etc, Works great. Also use DC in some back and forth operations by reversing supply polarity to the DC motor.
John and Steve, thank you both for that information. My concern was that the 12v might not work. Now I can replace even the bulbs in my holiday ceramic buildings too!
