256 Freight Station in a 257 box

I just got the above at an auction. The 257 station has a battery operated horn that you self install. It seems the 257 box is worth more than the 256 station, or is the 256 station still put into a 257 box but with the horn? The horn was not in the box. Should I sell them separately or together?

There sure is a lot of great details to learn when you start getting into Lionel!
