I was running the above loco yesterday when the smoke smell suddenly changed to that of electronics burning - EEK!!
Stopped the engine, removed the boiler and found that the small circuit board was smoking - not sure what this controls .
After all the smoke had cleared down I decided to risk a start up - everything is fine except I have lost the cab and firebox lights. ( I am running with a DCS commander)
The board is damaged on one corner - with the pilot to your left when looking at the engine, it is the front left edge of the board that is black.
I seem to have had lucky escape in not losing everything but am keen to replace the board (all wires/connectors look fine)
Can anyone help by supplying the board please - I can pay all costs by Paypal. I live in England and our only MTH service centre does not carry parts. I have previously also tried MTH directly from here but it has never worked for me!
