Yes, 900 Children today at Eagle Academy Charter Elementary School! This is a follow-up to a previous post, "What do freight trains carry?"
What a day. They just kept coming. The noise level at times was off the wall. We took turns meeting with each class briefly to talk about train issues and railroad safety, and found doing that on the stage was better than around the layout.
What incredible fun!

That's a beautiful, thoughtful thing you have done for those children. I'll bet you got some hugs, too! You were probably just as happy as the children.

Looks like a great event there and all the kids looked quite happy too. I think the noise level goes up proportionally with the fun level, so it sounded good too.

Thank you, Serenska, and all the others for the nice comments. We hope this school will extend us an invitation again for next year. We are also thinking of some ideas for another school come spring. I've made a teacher there aware who seemed interested. When she saw the photos, she exclaimed: "Could you do that at our school?" Will follow-up after the Holiday Season.
Great Job! Can you imagine if 10 percent are hooked into the hobby? Its what this hobby needs. Keep up the great work Bill.
