A couple of questions on the Cab2

I am still getting use to the Cab2.

 

1. Can you turn smoke units on/off? From Cab1 it is Aux 1 - 8. I could not find any information in the Legacy instructions nor the engine's manuals.

 

2. What does train brake rocker do other than set the max speed bar in the screen?

 

General observation: So far it seems other than the whistle rocker there's no substantial differences in the "fun factor" of the Cab2 over the Cab1. Am I missing something important in settings or knowing how to use the Cab2?

What kind of engine is it?
 
Yes Aux1+8 turns off Aux1+9 turns on smoke units.
 
The Whistle slider works best on Legacy engines.
 
The rocker when pushed straight down changes direction.  When pulled back brakes, when pushed forward boosts.  When at a stop pushing down and up will put the engine in forward direction.  When pushed down and pulled will put the engine in reverse direction.

To me, it sounds as if the Legacy remote is not setup for your Legacy engines.
 
Did you install the orange modules?  If so you should have a smoke stack icon to control your smoke output as well as a quillable whistle.
 
You numeric keyboard should have icons for the various features like tower comm and crew talk.
