Great photos guys! @trumpettrain Partick, I am sure happy that all you folks on the east coast are well prepared for the snow and early winter! LOL

@lee drennen Nice view down to the tracks! Must be part of the industrial area!

@Sitka Love the head on view approaching the trestle!

I would show you a couple of photos, but I don't think you want to see photos of a layout coming down!

Thanks Mike what happen to that fine layout you were building?

Well Mike your a little closer to me now about 300 miles away lol. Now your in Frisco Country there lots of Model Rail fans in that area.

FOR TODAY:   It's Monday morning and Otis has had quite the weekend!  Having slept in the bushes last night, he was catapulted into  consciousness when the big steam locomotive rumbled onto the service track.  That's Freddy Wampler and Cody Goins, part of the service crew,  in the background.  They're getting ready to service a N&W J class.  As for Otis?  Who knows what's next.   ... just another day on the railroad!    IMG_1601

It's a sunny Monday morning and the commuter station is all abuzz.   An abundance of passengers await on the platform as  a Virginian FM  Train Master glides into the station wth a commuter train.  Switchers dominate the scene .. in the foreground a B&O SW 9 is on the point of a transfer freight ... on the elevated a Baltimore & Annapolis SW9 makes an inspection run .. and on the  Mountain Division  a Patapsco and Back Rivers VO1000 trundles over a bridge with a way freight ... just another day on the railroad! I haven't posted here a awhile and while changing out a Fastrack switch the morning sun on the layout caught my eye so I snapped these photos.

Always a lot of activity in and around Bob's Market!

Have a great week!

Great looking scenes Scott!   What make of fire engine is shown in the bottom photos ... Ford, Chevy/GMC  It looks pretty cool!

HI Patrick, thanks, glad you enjoyed the photos! The fire truck is a Menards $5 special, LoL it's plastic and not die cast! It's based loosely on a 1956 Ford C Series, C-500 through C-900. Looks like Menards doesn't have the fire truck anymore, I bought mine a couple of years ago.

By the way, Otis looks 3 sheets to the wind already and looks like he has a little bit of the hair of the dog that bit him the night before in his right hand!! LoL Hysterical!

Hi guys thanks for the good wishes and info about train fans down there. I will be searching for some of them here on the forum!

Lee 300 miles isn't that far compared to now! LOL

Mark, that must have been one big guy to fill that little guy up with just a leg! Even better yet it is so cool you caught a photo of it in progress! LOL

Patrick, I love all your stories and the people in them, but I see a trend that maybe Patsberg might need an undercover AA meeting place to help some of those folks out! LOL

Scott, you have such a wonderful layout that any photo is nice, but the sunshine really brings it to life!

I just got home and nothing new from me unless you want to see some more boxes! LOL

FOR TODAY:   Tom Kraut and Benny Bean  Carson are on site rummaging through a junk pile hidden by brush.  It took a bit of wheel spinning on a muddy dirt road to get here, as evidenced by the tires and mud kicked up on Tom's Chevy pickup.  They hope to find a nice load of junk to take to the scrap dealer and earn a few bucks.  Just so happens that a Virginian Train Master  is idling on the main as it waits for a green signal. IMG_2306

Finally the signal has turned green and engineer Floyd Smoot is slowly notching out the throttle tapping the Train Master's' 2400 horsepower  to move its' train forward.    At the same time Benny Bean yells to Tom " Hey T!  I found an old bulldozer back here in the weeds! IMG_2308
