While B&B's in Europe proved to be inexpensive for me, over here they are pricey, treated like some upscale accommodation.  I have only stayed in one, in Louisiana, billed as the most haunted house in America.  I saw no spectres, or heard any weird noises .. only thing happened was the bed rose off the floor during the night .  Had a nice breakfast out under trees in the morning.  No trains seen, just plantations

This is great!  The link you provided was very interesting, and as one source said, it should be on everyone's bucket list.  The video was really nicely done.  No heavy marketing; it sells you on the idea quietly.

There are a few B&Bs that incorporate railcars in the US, and one in Nova Scotia that a friend highly recommends, but this one has it all -- as they say, it actually moves!

Maybe it's the scenery, maybe it's the video, but this outfit looks more appealing to me than the Chicago to New Orleans restored Pullman runs or many of the numerous dinner train options available.

I was interested in their motive power and rolling stock and  found information at Wikipedia:

The official website shows photos of a 1913 self-propelled interurban used for sight seeing.  I love those.  It's got awesome stained glass windows.  No mention of the kitchen car for those of us who care about these things, but perhaps it's in one of the coaches that they converted to a dining car.

I'd love to have a model of their full B&B consist. Great colors and great selection of cars.

Thanks for sharing, MG.

reasonable rates?

Accommodations for the couple’s overnight stay start at $229 per couple in the off season and go up to $429 a couple in high season.

Not a bad price, considering what wife & I spent for first class on the VIA train, and first class on an English sleeper a few years ago.
