FYI, serial data line comes off the LCRU  from the program/run switch.

But note this topic- showing that violet wire that is shared with program/run. Thus in your engine, the Grey wire is in theory serial data

All that said, I know cost is likely a consideration, but in truth- upgrading to an ERR AC commander (similar form factor to the LCRU)

would be more plug and play with the railsounds and give better performance in theory motor drive wise too. I'll admit, that expense of near $300+ in total could be a hard pill to swallow.
