The threaded mounting holes in the new Aerotrain passenger car trucks need to be chased with a tap as the screws won't go in far enough. Does anyone know the thread size and pitch so I can purchase a tap? I believe it's a M3 as the screw measures .115" but I need to know the thread pitch, thanks.

According to the limited part list we do have for the Aerotrain, all the M3 screws used in this set are 0.5MM thread. So the tap would need to be M3 x 0.50

M3 x 0.50 is the dirt-common 3mm screw, it's the only 3mm screw that I've ever encountered on model trains. Truthfully, in a search for the thread pitch of 3mm screws, all I find is 0.50 as a choice. I know I've never seen any other thread pitch on a 3mm screw.
