At the end of the day there are success stories and failures from all manufacturers, doesn't matter if it's Lionel,MTH,Williams ect...it's going to happen. Now I get that at the price point these engines sell at there is and should be a level of expectation...which as we all can see is not being met in some cases which is frustrating to say the least. I think it's important to share the negative experiences if for no other reason than to see if there is a common failure or problem, also to let others know who may be thinking of purchasing an item that "hey look for this or watch for that"...ect. To me that is helpful as are the positive experiences obviously.

Yep, no matter if it's a pick up, lawnmower, woman, bulldozer or toy trains. There's bound to be a few bad ones. I've had them all. A few good ones too!
