I hear a metallic vibrating sound when running the engine? Now, here is the peculiar thing I discovered. When I gently squeeze the shell together on both sides the sound stops. I wonder if something came loose under the shell...? It hear sound vibrating against metal; I think. Any ideas what could be the cause? This is a TMCC engine.

I would just open the shell. Does the sound change change track engine speed or sound volume?

It looks like the only way to gain access to the screws for the shell is by removing the trucks! I'm not comfortable doing that. The sound does not change if the engine speeds up or slows down.
You can swivel the trucks and gain access to the shell screws.

The Atlas RS 1 has to be the worst engine to take apart. It sounds like your flywheel on the motor is scraping the shell Common problem Make sure the motor is tight If not the shell has about 3 pieces and are a pain to get apart
