Nice pics Patrick. That Dump Truck is a KB 6 International not a White although that tanker is a British White around the 40s. My Grandpa had one of these KB Internationals as a road tractor same color and same disc wheels. I like that truck I wish I would have bought one of those when White Box the first came out with them.

Here are some closer pics of my York purchases, but first:
picked this up a couple weeks ago and have been looking for one for 2+ years- K-line ISO tank trailer chassis
On to the York purchases I posted previously- The VW GTI in the middle was $5, made by Schabak models Actually is my favorite(well 1a) of the bunch!
Heres 1b for nostalgia’s sake- Corgi Austin Mini Countryman Police van. Made between 1964-1969, looked up prototype info on its dimensions, it really is that small!
last But not least, finally got myself a school bus! Daron 1/50 scale

I'm making changes in my post to include your information. When I originally posted I was going by what I "thought" I remembered seeing on the boxes in which those trucks came. LOL!
I think this is a Diamond tractor. I would guess from the late 1940s. In October 2010 i attended my first York train show sponsored by the Eastern Division of the TCA. This 7 Up rig was the first item I bought... Brand new with box for $20.00

Nice ISO Matlack tank. I work for Dana Transport they bought out my company about 4 years ago I see lots of ISO tanks on our yard now there pretty interesting I’ve never pulled one though.

Randy thanks for the complement. I’m pretty sure you can no longer get these. You can try Dan’s Models from Romania. Just a warning the Resin is very bad after a couple years it started to warp especially the frame that why I rebuilt this one and repainted it. I also added Don Mills tires and wheels.

VW pickup truck ... about 12 or more years ago I bought several of these VW pickups at my grocery store in the toy section for $1.00 each! I always check out the toy section of that grocery store. No telling what will turn up. I've also bought 1:43 scale farm equipment( cultivator/ disc & hay wagon) for $1.00 each.

Thanks Mark and Lee! I think the VW pickup is a model of one of the early 1950's pickups. VW made their first pickup truck in 1950 so this one fits the era which I model ... transition era.

That 7 Up Diamond T, and Romanian Mack are interesting. Wish manufacturers would mark boxes with the years vehicle was current! But that applies to RR rolling stock, for me, too.

Joe. Your right I check out the bargain bin at the Hobby Shop I go to in St Louis and found some great deals.

I agree, a lot are 1/32 and a lot are too modern for my '50s era layout, but I have found a number of neat cars in those end of aisles displays over the years.

Lee...one of the diecast sellers has a 3 set package of 60's vintage VW's...can't search it now, but if you or any others are interested, I'll find the link. I recall the price was reasonable...
Diecast Direct has a set of three VW “sambas”, which may be what Paul is thinking of: https://www.diecastdirect.com/...uct/18158/Volkswagen.
As a VW fan, I bought the set a while back but the buses are in different colors than these. Sorry, I can’t post photos at this time.
