I don't think I have ever seen a Bangor and Aroostook engine and was hoping they would be in the red white and blue.
This is the only one I have seen.
Are these colors/engine representative of what the Bangor and Aroostook Engines looked like?

I thought the red-black-gray scheme were the "classic" colors but apparently the prototype railroad went through some different schemes - which might take all day to research. Might be uncommon to find in O-gauge since it was one of the smaller railroads with different paint schemes at different times. Good luck.

When I lived in Maine in the early '70s, I spent a fair bit of time in Bangor. At that time, the B&A units were in the 3 color scheme, and I guess I just assumed that was the "standard" and perhaps only paint scheme they ever had.
A few years later, after moving to Oregon, I bought a copy of "America's Colorful Railroads" by Don Ball. In that book is a picture of an F3 and Geep in the earlier pale grey colors... something I didn't know existed! 😳
And I have to say I like both schemes equally. 🙂

PS: just picked up an A B F3 set (in HO) in the early colors. I can post pictures if anyone is interested...
BAR did have a Bicentennial engine painted in red, white and blue, 1776. Lionel did a model of it. I don't have it out right now or I would take a picture. I don't recall them having any other engines in that scheme.
Lionel with METCA came out with an 2101190 Bangor & Aroostook GP-7 Locomotive #1776 w/ Legacy last year. I have it myself and its a very nice locomotive.
BAR diesels ran from dark blue to multi colors of light gray/dark gray ,blue/gray and dk orange/blue/and gray.They varied in schematics from unit type to unit type.
They only had one in red white & blue
