BRHS (Burlington Route) 2023-Fall Meet in Omaha NE

The BRHS 2023 Fall Meet is in Omaha on Thursday 09-07-2023, Friday 09-08-2023, & Saturday 09-09-2023.

Are any of you OGR Forum members planning to attend ?

There will be layout tours on Thursday & Friday nights and swap meet & clinics on Friday.

On Saturday, we will tour depots at WAHOO NE & Waverly NE and ride on the miniature trains at the Camp Creek Threshers.

Saturday night will feature the annual banquet & main presentation.

Please respond to this thread if you are going to attend & I will look for you at the meet.

I have a room reservation with an extra bed if any one needs a place & wants to split the room cost.

I am currently on my way to Omaha.

I am railfanning CB&Q’s abandoned branch lines across southern Iowa to photograph the preserved depots & waycars (cabooses) along the way to NE.

On Wednesday, I will tour various preserved depots in NE.

On Thursday before the start of the meet, I will visit depots & locomotives in Lincoln NE & Omaha prior to the layout tours.

Omaha has on display a Big Boy & Centennial in an outdoor park.

The UP’s Union Station is now the Durham Museum with many train exhibits.  Across the tracks is the former CB&Q station transformed into a TV Station.

Across the Missouri River in Council Bluffs IA are the UP Mueum, RailsWest Museum, & the Golden Spike Monument
