No problem, sorry about the delay. I totally spaced em til I found them sitting on the counter
I figured it was something like that. )
After a dry spell, train-wise, got two Lionel postwar childhood favorites: new in box 58 and a like new in box 352. Also, ordered a set of Vision Line Baldwin demonstrators at a discount I just could not resist (and I tried, I think).
I didn't buy this, it was a gift. But this is the best place to post it. Yesterday, I received a retirement gift from the guy in the office next to mine who is an N scale enthusiast. He knew I had worked at a power company long ago, so got me this deep well flat car. It was a LOTS special run from 2001. Very nice!
He also also gave me this nice RailKing wagon top box car.
Now ow before everyone throws out lots of congratulations on retirement, I had to take an early retirement. While I will be collecting two small pensions, I will have to work in a contract role for a few years before I can really retire! Thank you anyway!
That was really nice thing your coworker did. Now that your working as a contractor, it will be along time before you really retire. Especially if your good and like what you do. Of course the advantages are you can work when you want to, not when you have to. I think congratulations is the right word..
I picked up a few things in the last month and found my photos from my last

Suzukovich,
Thank you For the congratulations. The contract work is the part of the job I'm leaving that I know best. None of the other engineers want anything to do with it, but are forced into it. It will be alright for a few more years then I'll fully retire.
those are really nice trucks and busses. You made some excellent purchases.
Picked up a few of the Lionel / LCCA NASCAR race cars at the Boston Convention. Then picked up a PW 6424 auto transport off the Bay to tramsport the race cars to the next race.

Though I don't collect or run postwar anymore, this is one piece I've always wanted but couldn't find for a price I was comfortable with. Well I came across it last week on an auction site and got lucky.
2345 Western Pacific F-3
One of 10 KMT cars I picked up at an online auction earlier in the week.

Wound up finally acquiring a 3rd Rail SP 4-10-2 #5021, an engine I never thought I'd find.
All a result of dumb-luck, to boot!
I won an auction on the big auction site for another 3rdRail engine, but after the auction ended, I was informed that the engine wasn't actually available for sale.
As a means of making amends, I inquired if the seller happened to have any other 3rd Rails avialable for sale, and as chance would have it, this was one of them.
This one was currently no. 1 on my most wanted list.
Now to keep a look out for SP&S #700.

Added this P5a to the roster a few weeks ago. Bought right here from Canadian forum member Dave. It's my first DCS loco and goes through all the PS2 functions nicely. Finally I have a PRR engine that's best suited for hauling freight. Thanks Dave.

I own this one also, you're going to love it. One of my favorites. Enjoy!
Got a set of lightly used Polar Express scale heavyweight passenger cars off the 'Bay. Was forced to the top of my price range but managed to win the auction. The set has the baggage car, old (abandoned?) toy car, 3 coaches, and the observation car. Just need to snag a diner &, of course, the scale PE Berkshire. No pics to share, as of yet, but it should look great next to my Gold set.
