The B&P- a CSX spin off, a remake of the BR&P that was bought by the B&O. The B&P goes from Butler, Pa. to Buffalo, NY.

I added a couple new things to the stable. The Legacy Trainmaster was actually in a box with a crushed shell, but I found out Lionel had shells and got it back on the road. I had bought it intending on repairing the shell, but that proved to be more of an issue than I first imagined. The Lionel Trainmaster has a nicely designed wiring layout, it was a breeze to move the wiring over and taking the shell on and off is a piece of cake for this model.
The GP-35 was a recent OGR forum purchase. After adding cruise control and redoing the lighting, it's ready to carry the freight. 
As opposed to the Lionel engine, the spaghetti wiring and oddball lighting configuration of the Atlas engine is certainly odd. The lights only worked part of the time, so I ripped out what they had and rewired with new stuff. Even though LED's fit perfectly in the headlight openings, for reasons only known to Atlas, they used crappy plastic inserts that blocked most of the light, the headlights looked more like parking lights. The number boards are translucent, but for some reason they weren't lighted, now they are.
Yep, I know the front step isn't aligned correctly, which looks odd on the Reading logo, I didn't spot that until after I had the pictures.

John, They are both really nice! Great upgrades on the Reading Geep! Good story about the new shell for the Trainmaster! I hope to get a Virginian TM someday!
John, nice work on the Atlas rewire. I hate working on those, its sooooo tight in there like looking under the hood of a Cadillac. Thre are so many upgrades and lighting features I want to do to some of my locos but I just need to get everyone elses stuff fixed then I can play with mine

Thank you! The Berkshire looks great!! One of those would look good pulling my C&O heavyweights! I'll have to keep one in mind.
The Canadian Xmas seals from 1956 sort of dates this Western Germany set.
If the artists rendition looks somewhat prototypical, none of those similarities transferred into lithographed tin.
The curious articulated vestibule design does hearken back to the streamliner toys of the '30's. It's motor seems to be a combo of 3 volt electric and friction flywheel. Also included was the 8 piece circle of track and the battery holder / controller.

They must have had to lock the engineer in the cab to get that loco loco to the next station on time. It gives captivating a confusing twist, eh?

Seriously what's the gauge Bruce. Despite the jokes the paint is nice, it looks to be in perfect shape, and it is interesting too boot.
These landed at my door today. I know the real EP-5 were not well liked and they never made it to nice blue Conrail paint.......but I sure like these models!!! and after all my world is in a basement with 3 rail track....so blue EP-5 is OK. These are the Williams powered and dummy set of two. I may leave these in the shinny blue without and weathering!!! 
I paid more than I normally do for my 2nd hand locos......but still cheap by today's standards........love 'em! thx

Picked these miniature signs off of the O Gauge Forum.
Primarily looking at the round Lionel sign that has a ¾” diameter.
Will be using this as a drum head on read of a Lionel Prewar Standard gauge #36 passenger car.
In the process of painting the car in the Lionel orange and blue paint scheme.

Today was a good day for getting things. This morning USPS brought my Atlas Niacet four car set from MrMuffins. After lunch it was a trip to Menards to pick up my station. While doing that I picked up a couple of die cast flat bed trucks. All in all it was a great day................Pics.........Paul

Sorry for the wait! Some folks expect me to do a bunch of other things besides trains!!! I know, it is hard to believe!!
This village is on a temporary 4' 4" x 8' table. I am going to convert it to a Christmas theme after Thanksgiving, then we will see what happens. I hope to start building a new layout in a 12 x 12 room our last daughter to be married vacated last month. I'll be posting a topic on the new layout planning soon, after I get some more thoughts in writing and a preliminary SCARM diagram ready.
So here is what we have now.
As can be seen, I kept things pretty basic, as it was intended to be temporary. On my new layout, I plan to make detailed scenery like I did on my HO and N scale layouts before I got too busy with the daughters and finishing my college degree.
I might as well post a photo of the daughters and their husbands who are so generously giving me back some space for trains. The older daughter and her husband are in the center, and the younger daughter and her husband were married two years ago. Incidentally, the young men are related. The younger is the the older's nephew! That information brings on some puzzled looks!!

I understand! Heidi met Brian at church and youth group and they started dating when she was 16. She finally married him 9 years later!!! Holly and Dustin were friends at church and youth group since they were Junior High. It wasn't until college that they started dating!

Nice picture of your daughters. You should be very proud. I have one of theos confusing relationship things too. My wife's brother is married to my first cousin. My cousin is my sister in law. I think that makes my kids and their kids both first and second cousins ? ? ? ? ? ? I get a headache when I try to figure it out.

That is great about your family. Our older daughter is now our younger daughter's aunt. Our younger daughter's mother-in law is our older daughter's sister-in-law! I haven't even thought about what their children's relationships would be.
The best thing is, they are now giving me space for a layout in a house that is best suited for a couple, not a family of four!! :-)

Different enough to grab this SF foamers attention, Mark. The artwork on the box was almost worth the price of admission by itself. It should look right at home along side my Warbonnet GG1.

All of the above! I have yet to run it but will report back with performance tests....don't expect much. BTW, it's O gauge, but that's as much as I know about it. There is much more room in the box than the engine, track and controller take up. Still, the engine was just so darn weird that I couldn't resist taking it home.

I won an auction for a Weaver SD 40-2 in ATSF merger paint. I wanted a SD40-2 because of its distinctive long porches, and it seems like a lot of members are very happy with the Weaver model. Now since my only other Santa Fe engine is a williams Blue Goose J I'll have to do something about the livery on the SD 40-2. Maybe a fantasy Alaska RR scheme, or remove the road name and re-lettering as a lease unit. When done it'll be another post for the Show us your custom paint scheme thread. Pictures to follow upon arrival.
I have a Weaver SD-40-2 in Conrail....very nice...post a pic when you get it.
I am selling off some of my duplicate Atlas O CZ cars and replacing them with this GGD Slumbercoach.
IT still makes an impressive train even though Amtrak never had a "heritage" CZ train before.

This just in from ModelTrainStuff: MTH 33-6245 "Madison" Diner PRR #4489 and three Arttista figures. I've been looking for just a diner (i.e., sold without a sleeper) and finally found one!
Here are Chef Chuck Wagon and Roxie the Rollerskating Waitress posing for a publicity shot for the TRR's proposed dining train excursion -- "R-Five Bistro" Roxie's Rolling RR Restaurant. The TRR's publicity director got up 'way too early before work, so the photos are of the usual blurry quality that the all-volunteer railroad is known for. Unfortunately, Chef and Roxie were photo bombed by drunken Dave, an obnoxious onlooker, attracted by the smell of Chef's signature burger and fries. The final blurred shot was taken just moments before Dave got a tray full of food dropped on his head.
