Please help, I have seen lately where someone has made a cabel that will allow you to connect a Lionel 180 Powerhouse to an MTH TIU. I need to know who makes this cable and where can I order one? Thanks for any help.

I saw those cabels and the one I am thinking of is different. It connects to the existing lionel tip and has red and black bananna jacks on the other end. It is a fairly new product.

You may be thinking of one of these. MTH 50-1017 TIU/Barrel Jack Adapter Cable. Intended for hooking a Z brick to a TIU. Not sure if the polarity of the lionel plug is the same as the MTH plug.

Just saw what the OP is talking about.
Take a look at the home page of CTTrains.com, in the lower RH corner. Reportedly p/n #PH-TIU: Molex to banana plug connector.
I wish I had seen this post about 4-days ago: I just purchased two Lionel TMCC Lockon houses for $45 ea. for this very purpose! These reportedly are $12/ea.

The TMCC direct lock on's have super fast breakers and are a wise investment when running engines with so many electronic components.
The little doghouse is also an excellent place to add a TVS protection diode across the tracks for some extra protection.
