I have a lionel 6-28202 conrail lionmaster and the wires from the trucks have come loose ... does anyone know how to remove the truck to get access to the wires on the top of the truck?

These are Lionel's infamous puzzle trucks. You'll be at it for a few minutes, you have to split the truck by removing the screws on the bottom, then the pickups have to be removed. Once the truck is split, you can access the screws that hold the motor onto the motor mount and finally it's free.
