Replies sorted oldest to newest

Always looking for more but they are usually misidentified. There are no markings on them. I have a set of silver NYC cars also.
They were very intelligently designed. There are no fasteners holding them together. The shell is held onto the base by the hand rails, That's it. Access to the handrails is via a large hole on the bottom that is also where the truck assemblies snap in. The Lionel trucks and Thomas Mfg couplers are attached to a large conduit plug, then snapped into the whole.
