Been running just fine - MTH DCS WIFI - 6.1 on system.

Did an update.

The GREEN start up and RED shut down icons work fine with MTH engines.

However, on my Legacy ALCOs, which did work this way also, now will not respond to the engine screen GREEN and RED start up and shut down icons.

I have found I must go into the AUX 1 screen and start up and shut down from there.

All functions work as before with LIONEL Legacy,  just the difference in how to start up and shut down.

Is this something I did or is this new...

Thanks

Dave

A little follow up.  It is not just one Lionel Legacy engine.  It's all of them.

So something is amiss with the app or something I've done.

I cannot use the Start UP or Shut DOWN icons with Legacy.

Sometimes just hitting the GREEN direction icon will start the engine.

All systems working fine once started....

Anybody have some insight to my puzzle?

Thanks

Dave

Dave,

First, you say that you “did an update.” Exactly what did you update?

Second, when you added the Legacy engines to the app, are you certain that you addded them as Legacy and not as TMCC?

Third, how is your TIU connected to the command base, what is the cable’s MTH # and which command base is it, TMCC or Legacy? If Legacy, is the TIU connected directly to the command base or to an SER2 module?

APP Version upgrade......v3.0.0 build 46

Yes - added as Legacy.

MTH 6.1 with Legacy command base with TPC 400 and SER 2

TIU into SER 2 with MTH cable (the one recommended here on the forum - just don't have the product # at hand)

Everything was functioning perfectly as it should......for some time now.

This activity just started today.  I have not made any changes to the system.

Thanks

I was using an older tablet successfully and decided one month ago to buy an unlocked new phone to use and dedicate only to running DCS WIFI.  It has no sim card.

The new phone has been working perfectly until today.  While awaiting your response I decided to try and use the old tablet (both items are android) and PRESTO ....Legacy engines respond to the GREEN and RED startup and shutdowns icons.

I guess I can assume the new phone went faulty....?

I've never encountered this before......can a faulty phone behave this way?

Thanks for your time Barry

Appreciated

Dave

Dave,

If the tablet has previously, and now continues, to work properly, and the new phone has never worked properly, my guess is that the issue is with the new phone.

I’d suggest deleting and reinstalling the app from the new phone, and then exporting the app’s contents from the tablet and importing it into the new phone.

The new phone did work okay up until today.

The only thing I always faced with the new phone was that I needed to "re-fresh" up to 3 times each time I went to use it for running trains from a cold start.  Maybe this phone had a glitch from the get go.

Rarely had to "re-fresh"  with the tablet.

Taking this phone back tomorrow and getting another..............wish it was this easy to replace a new non-working engine out of the box

Thanks Barry

UPDATE

Well it was not the phone....new RCA Smartphone today- Android 6.

GREEN and RED start up and shut down icons do not work with Lionel Legacy.

As well, my ASUS tablet - Android 4.4 - NOW as well,  acts the same way as the phone.

I have to go to the AUX 1 screen to start up and shut down.  As far as I can tell, all systems work well once started.  I can operate this way.....just curious how this happened and what the cause is.

All was well with this issue...no changes to the system or the layout.

So I have to think it is something with the APP.

Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks

Dave
