Thinking about picking one up as a project, and it has the original atlas TMCC guts in it (the TAS SAW board without cruise). Since its my understanding that you cant easily put ERR into it without swapping all the guts to ERR parts, I'd rather just put in PS2 if it fits. I cant see why it wouldnt, but has anyone done it to know for sure?

If it had a TAS SAW in it, the PS/2 upgrade will easily fit, the board is considerably smaller. I crammed the PS/2 upgrade into the little tender of the MTH General.

I jammed PS-2 boards into an SW-8 a year or so ago.
I had to use a custom made smaller battery pack, but it worked.

You can make a very small 3V BCR clone using a single capacitor that would be a perfect match for a project like this.

Rod, MTH makes a 2.4V battery back using AAA batteries. Smaller size and used in small applications like switchers, Climax, etc... G
You can fabricate the BCR clone for 3V for around $5-6 in parts, why fool with the battery that will still be much larger than the BCR clone and more expensive as well? Which one of these would you want to try to stuff into a very small space?

I used Digikey 589-1007-ND and they cost $4.52 in quantity one. Shipping will only be a couple of bucks on orders that can go first class mail.
