Jim — thanks. I don’t think so either. Here is why I am asking folks who know more than I do about AF -  a friend gave me a 1948 322 that was his dad’s. Mint condition. In addition to a nice mix of rolling stock, it came with an AF transformer that I have to believe was purchased at the time the 322 was purchased. Unlike the Lionel 1033 transformer that I am familiar with, the AF transformer has no whistle control. I did a Google search to see if I could find an answer but came up empty so I decided to try this forum in an effort to get a definitive answer. Thank you for your reply. Emmett

Jim,

Never heard of the “whistling billboard” … but I love it already. I love everything about miniature trains … call it “model railroading” … call it “a hobby” … but first and foremost … they are toys … they bring joy … they transport us to a magical place  … they remind us that deep down we are still that 10-year old kid. Whistle or no whistle.

Emmett

Emmett,

See if you can pick up one of the whistling billboards at a train show or swap meet.  I have one of those billboards on a traveling layout, and kids (of all ages) love it.   Depending on where you live, the shows can be common.  Then, there's always online sources, which personally, I'm not a big fan of.

And welcome to the S side of trains!  No matter the size, they're all fun.
