I was thinking of double heading Lionel post-war Vulcan type switchers. Like the Army #41 or Navy #51 switchers. I suspect that they can use the E-Unit in one loco. I just have to come up with a cable to make the connection.
Has anyone tried this ?
I never did it with vulcan switchers but I double head my Beeps. I run a tether with a power and common between the two engines. The electronic reverse units starts both of them in the same direction and the tether keeps them from tripping the reverse unit on switches or small power interruptions. Works great.
