I have issues with a MTH WM Russian decapod with PS 2. Every time I want to operate it, I have to delete it from the handheld and add it again as I get an "engine not found" message when I start an operating session. I've replaced the batteries in the remote but it doesn't help. I have five MTH licomotives and this is the only one that's acting up. Any ideas?

Try replacing the battery in the engine.
Do what Mark said or at least give it a good charge. A good test for the battery. When done running your engine. Instead of hitting shutdown on the remote. Just kill the power going to the track. You should still hear sounds for at least 5 seconds if the battery is good. If the sound cuts out immediately. You need a battery or some opt. for a BCR.
Thanks, I will begin with those things and go from there on the Russian. Sadly, I have a proto 3-2 conversion in a WM consolidation that has also started the same behavior. It's great on DCC but on DCS, the remote cannot find the locomotive and I have to add it every time. This one doesn't have a battery so I'm at a loss. I appreciate any help!
