Agreed. I don't know how long it takes,  but I would imagine a 50 minute video takes hours to make.

A guy at his computer generating content is a guy at his computer. And I know that takes a lot of work, but it is still perceived to be one guy making stuff on his computer. And it is also perceived as one guy at his computer generating content promoting himself.

Not necessarily the reality, but certainly a possibility it is the perception.

Have you seen Eric's layout or watched any of his videos?  Talk about commitment of resources, facilities, real estate not to mention inviting bus loads of strangers into his home.  Not bad for a guy and his computer.

Kinda late for this year, but I had an idea since so many seem put off at Eric's tooting his own horn.  And I believe/hope Eric will like this idea as well.  We should make a list of all the online personalities like Eric that work to promote the hobby, and recommend them all to MTH for the award.  Maybe by getting a flood of online non club entries then they'll actually look outside the "box."  By doing this we are no longer making it about Eric, but instead following what Eric wanted and making it about non traditional means to promote the world's greatest hobby.
