I have a friend who informed me he is participating in the YORK PRE SHOW. It's Monday-Wednesday in the Purple hall. Supposedly it's to "make up " for the "Bandit meets" held before the York show decades ago and have dwindled to a shell of their former self. Unfortunately I am working til Thursday so Friday is my day at YORK.

Is this a first for this York Pre show or  was it held years prior?

Then why? Do you know? Are you attending 👀?

Well actually, I happen to know and be friends with Russel Youens of the ED TCA, who helped stand up this event. His name is right on the signup for this. It's right on the flyer for this event on the homepage https://www.easterntca.com

It's not rocket science. They rent the entire fairgrounds for the entire week. That's just how that (the York show and the fairgrounds) has worked for years. The halls normally stand empty for these days- being paid for as part of the total agreement.

So why not? Again, they are looking at this as an opportunity, to recoup money already being spent, on empty halls on these days. This is the first time trying this, maybe it works, maybe it changes, maybe it doesn't work.

The EDTCA rents the fairgrounds for pretty much the whole week.  I see it as both as an attempt to bring in some extra revenue and as an attempt to attract more dealers.

According to their social media, they have already sold 150 tables for Purple Hall and it will once again be a dealer hall during the meet itself.  They hope that the preshow is a success, and that if it is, they will continue the preshows going forward.

It has piqued my curiosity enough to come out a day earlier than I normally do.

Hopefully those who have the opportunity to attend the pre show event will be able to post some pictures of the hall. I’m sure there will be plenty of discussion on the success and shortcomings as viewed by the attendees.

Well if u ou can focus more on the background rahter than the layouts, you might get an idea...
