My favorite would be the SP Lionel AC-9 from 2003-4 with the skyline casing like the Daylight Locomotives.

it's a tie between my MTH 2-8-0 consolidations and the last engine I just acquired
I have to say that my all time favorite is Lionel's post-war Norfolk and Western Class J 4-8-4 Northern. Right behind it are Lionel's 1950 and 1964-66 773 Hudsons. All of Lionel's post-war Berkshires come in third. Every other train ever manufactured comes in fourth. Did I miss any bets?
This beautiful D&H PA used to be my favorite diesel but was sold a couple of years ago. Have recently acquired some scale K-Line F7s and some Lionel PA's that are good replacements. Our Southern E6 is unique. I vacillate between our PRR T1, Hudson, a Berk, the N&W J, and Class A, as well as several other steamers. Too hard to choose...
What is my most favorite engine in my roster? I like all of them, but if I add looks with great sound and mostly dependability, it narrows it done a bit. I have some very nice engines that are a bit temperamental on the layout, so they are ruled out. Of the good runners, I like my Weaver Passenger Sharks, 3rd Rail N1 and L1, and Lionel J1a and Centipedes. But the engine that comes out on top for me is my Lionel T1 4-4-4-4 Duplex. It has been upgraded with cruise, LED lighting, 4 chuffs/rev, and the center drivers have been machined down to prevent shorts. It runs and pulls great, and I really like the sound. I apologize for the poor video, as soon as I get it out of storage I'll make a better one.
ADDED: This was a terrible running engine until John (gunrunnerjohn) fixed a bad trace on the EOB board - Thanks John!
My favorite engine is an HO Scale Overland Brass Ks01 Consolidated Southern 2-8-0 - - DCC / Sound and painted to model the 630 – fun little guy – and – to add to the excitement I have been able to ride the 630 a few times
Does this model exist in O gauge – if so, please share the details – that would be a fun engine to add to my four engines Lionel stable
Thanks, rdeal
Such a fun but hard decision: I like my home-made Ivor the Engine - taken from a BBC children's show from the 1950s-60s, but my favorite is my dad's nearly century-old 248.
