Is DCS command easier on filament lamps vs conventional? I have several PS2 3v engines, some i have converted  the headlights and number boards to led..others are on my to do list. I have experienced minimal lamp failure under command. I thought i read somewhere conventional runs straight voltage and current(more heat?) vs pwm in command

Now that you mention it.... I don't remember losing a bulb yet.

2+2 = ....

I hadn't put it together yet.

I do like the way the motors operate in my G scale conversions too. I also converted a 3rd Rail Allegheny from TMCC  to PS2. It's motor would buzz and hum trying to get going under TMCC. It only smoothed out at about 20 MPH? After conversion it runs smoothly at all speeds.
