We're down to the final weeks to order the next project in my line of Madison Hardware items. We have been working with the team over at Lionel to design an all new ,MADE IN THE USA, Madison Hardware boxcar. The delivery for this car is still expected for the first week of December 2017. We have had the production sample in hand since July and the car looks great. The final day to order the car is October 22, 2017.
It has been a number of years since a Lionel built and Richard Kughn authorized Madison Hardware car has been built. In the years in between, the decoration process has come a long way. This new boxcar is allowing us to produce the most visually stunning Madison Hardware car that has been done to date. Not only are the graphics strong, but each side is unique, one side representing Madison Hardware New York and the other side Madison Hardware Detroit.
There are some other unique touches such as the Lionel Corporation logo on one side with the LTI logo on the other door, the addition of the 6464-105 number on the car, use of the New York Central font for the numbering, and use of each of the unique Madison Hardware logos for each city.
The car is $79.00 plus $8.00 domestic ground shipping.
