Frank Ellison's Delta Lines new site

There is a Frank Ellison book on E bay for 15.00 bucks.

Too bad the Yahoo groups simply did not migrate to Groups IO like a lot of other Yahoo Groups.

Very interesting. May I ask what is that factory with the "saw tooth"sky lights across the tracks from ham Berger meat Packers? Does it have a name?

I hope Mr. Brennan will seriously consider releasing this building as a kit!

"Donaldson Canning Company" is that building in the background beyond "Hamm & Berger Meat Packers".

Hello all ...  yes Donaldson Canning ....at some point in it's life the saw tooth roof has been reversed .....perhaps it came loose and was re-glued ...without referring to the photo ......down the road I'll see if it can be reversed without damage .

I think l see a Tootsietoy truck. Even a worse choice, slim pickin's, of model vehicles then.  With stock pens on sidings and no small packing houses known to me, l can't scratch one for a destination for stock cars.  Wonder if Ellison researched his structures' prototypes and found a small meat packer?  If so, would like to see a kit.

Amazing the amount of track and switches were all hand laid in these layouts including the outside 3rd rail, the grades appear to be quite steep.

As a young lad, I discovered Frank's "Delta Lines" in the Bantam Book "Model Railroading". I was particularly smitten by his meat packing plant w/stock pen, however all of his structures were "wow" material to me at the time. (Still are.) So convincing was the little Bantam book at convincing me how "anybody can do this"... I set out to build one or two of Frank's structures using "card stock".  (I think I recall substituting poster board?)

My results weren't quite as effective as Mr. Ellison's.

As many people here know; I have recreated most of the original Delta Lines Layout here in NJ.  I'm afraid that after hobbyists like myself pass, there will be little to no model train scratch building work done.

I plan to release as many of Ellison's structures as practical in my Frank Ellison Tribute Series. Hap Hazard is in the final stage of production. I should be boxing up kits starting next week. I will have them available at York. These are all limited editions--let me know if you want to be added to the list.

CAREY  - THANKS for opening your house this year to a visit. For me, it was the best part of the O-gauge Show. Seeing all your original Frank Ellison Delta Lines buildings and the Minton Cronkhite MSI buildings was fantastic.

As you know, I have a few of those MSI  towers and buildings as well.

This is a good thread......I appreciate the pics. I agree, the Delta Lines Facebook page is an excellent resource for Ellison fans.

  I probably have seen pictures before of your layout, but not recently. Can you post pictures on here when you have time? I am not on Facebook and have no interest in joining at this point.

Recently on Da bay, a bunch of Frank Ellisons building lookalikes were sold from an O scale layout. Can anyone tell me if this structure was a copy of any structure on the Delta Lines?

Hello ...the building is a copy of Frank Ellison's   Richmond Packing from Raymondale ...below pictures of the original Ellison building .

NOte: See through freight car loading dock is missing along with the office Extension.

NOt sure if this is a Delta Lines structure... looks a bit English but nicely done though!

Warrehouse #1.. again not sure if its a Delta Lines Structure but looks like it.
