Great bunch of friends Marty....especially you !!!
Thanks Jim. I received many emails asking me to put the post up.
Impressive!
We've had a lot of good times in Marty's train room!
It was a great honor to do so!
Peter
Truly a distinguished "Honor Roll" of O Gauge enthusiasts! Thanks so much for posting this.
This is truly a cool thing to see. Thanks Marty.
Way cool
Impressive list of some great people.
A great group of people!
It is an honor to have signed Marty's wall and for Sue and I to have Marty and Dotty as friends. It has also been my privilege to act as driver for wall signers Alex, Bob DeGuarde, Chris Lord and Mike Caruso. And for the TrainAmerica sign, but it didn't sign the wall. Every trip to Marty's is always a lot of fun and I invariably learn a lot.
Gerry
People asked you to post a list and it's great that you did, but, posting a list ― illustrated with pictures ― is just fantastic.
Thanks for sharing.

It's always great visiting with you and Dotty!
WOW quite the list of Who's who in the train world! Thanks for sharing!

Ditto.....could've spent the entire day watching all the beautiful trains and taking in all the great layout details.
I had to keep some of these New York guys in line. They spent their younger days signing things with spray paint cans. I caught them just in the nick of time. When I stated wall, they went looking for spray cans.
On a serious note, I love the New York and New Jersey guys. Some great friends and great people.
Thanks for posting. That's quite a list and very nice you have pictures too!!
Nice memories, Marty. I hope to one day be fortunate to see your impressive layout in person.
It was a great honor to be asked to sign Marty's wall. Thanks Marty.
Both impressive and cool!
Thanks for sharing!
Tony
Wish someday I can sign "The Wall". Don
I would love your John Hancock. My layout is open to any Forum member who might find himself/herself in my neighborhood.
I was honored to put my signature on your wall along with all these other guys and gals.
What a wonderful memento showing how you share your hobby with others!
Very impressive "Who's Who" in the toy train world!!
John, I need you there also next time you are at the house.
Thanks guys. I also had Rich sign the inside of the tender hatches on my Lionel 765. He knows a bit about that engine and it is now a signed piece of art.
I will visit you one of these days but have you use a green sharpie for some reason or another?
That's neat!!

The day I signed the wall and actually ran my train on his layout.
Ted, for you my friend I will let you only do that.
I was truly honored to have signed Marty's wall. Also if you haven't seen his layout it really is a must see.
Thanks, Alex

Sorry Ted but we only have red and blue sharpies in Mass. Green ones are against the law!
I'm speechless and in awe of how many people have signed your wall. You are a patriarch in the Model Train hobby Marty. Thanks for sharing this and making many memories with those that have visited your layout in the past, present and future.
Thanks Tim. I am only sorry I did not start the wall earlier as many great people in the hobby have visited.
When I found out I was going to be traveling for work in Dec 2015 and be only about a hour from Marty's I just had to make the trip. Dotty, Marty & Ralph were wonderful hosts. While we didn't drive trains (could have), I got to see one fantastic layout and great conversation with a great couple of fellow train geeks. Stopped in at Charles Ro as well just to see the place.
Thanks for let me sign.
Jim
WOW! I'm humbled to be included in such a group. Thank you Marty.
Sorry Ted but we only have red and blue sharpies in Mass. Green ones are against the law!
Chris,
Good laugh!
Sure a list of who's who-- and did you notice how well the "lefties" are represented? Being a "righty" I always think the left handed folks are blessed with all the artistic ability... may be something to that...
Jeffrey
Marty....good idea for you to add your signature if you haven't already done so. After all, you are the great friend to all of us and should have your name on the wall!!! Jim
Ben...(blueline4c). I thought I earned your friendship after I submitted your nomination for National Slim Fast poster boy?
Thats awesome!! Great group of people!!!
Marty, you're going to need a bigger wall!
We had a great visit from a very popular New York trainiac. At the TCA Convention in 1998 I met Dr. Malcolm Reid. He stopped by the house Saturday and we spent some time catching up and talking trains. Malcolm has a huge layout in his New York home and plans on making it larger. He had a great book of layout pictures covering all the great scenes on his layout.
COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!
I have spent many fun days at Marty's over the years. Here is a video from last year of his Weaver New Haven I 5 that he converted to DCS.
Nice conversion--looks, runs and sounds fantastic!
I am impressed, both by the names and by the number of them.
Tom, I have had many other Forum members before the wall. MartyE for one, Rich Foster and Steve from Ross. I may get him back. Gunrunner has family close by, and many others.
The one name that I want on my wall is Alan Arnold.
Marty....what a wonderful way to share the hobby....but why would you want to spoil your wall with the signature of that "Alan Arnold" guy..!!???.. Seriously....it would be an honor to have a chance to see your layout and sign "the wall". It WILL happen someday....I promise! You are a great friend and mentor to so many of us!!
Alan
Today, Dotty and I had a visit from Bob Bartizek. We had a great time running and talking trains. Bob has a great knowledge of the workings of our trains today. Bob is very well known for his fantastic layout in Ohio. Anytime any Forum member finds himself in my area, please stop by for a visit.
Bob was kind enough to sigh my wall. Thank you again Forum members for your visits.
Will you please smile marty.
Been sick Eddie. I will do my best. When I see your York countdown that will do it.
Love the Pats superbowl tee shirt ...one of many i'm sure

All the best to you Marty. I truly hope you feel better! Stay cool!
Hello again OGR Forum friends. It has been a while since I have posted. As most of you know, I have been suffering with cancer. I wanted to make this post as at the end of York two weeks ago, I had two visitors from the other side of our country. Dave Hikel and his brother Ted Hikel made the trip to Boston to pay me a visit and see my layout. It was an honor to see Dave and Ted.
I can not express my good feelings about all the positive posts all you Forum members have made wishing me good luck. I have a distance to go to beating this and from the bottom of my heart I thank all of you dearly.

Wow Marty, this is truly impressive. It's great to be able to put a face with a name. Thanks so much for posting this, it is great to see how many people have signed your wall and how many friends you actually have. How wonderful to have all these fine people come over to see your layout and sign your wall. I hope you update it every once in a while.
Cheers and best of luck in the future.
Met you once in NJ and felt blessed though we have no kinship. The friendships you have made here and with others in the model train world are real connections with meaning in life and very admirable. God bless you, Marty.
Great to hear from you again, keep fighting as you have done.
Dave
WOW...!! Just saw this and am SO HAPPY to see you posting again Marty! As you know, I wanted to come see you after our 50th birthday bash but you had mentioned you would be going through chemo that week. Seeing the Hikel brothers visiting you makes me wish I would have headed your way!! I am going to sign that wall someday!!! Keep on being strong Marty....they don't come any better than you my friend and we are all looking forward to you being a regular at York and on this forum again!
