Final reduction: Gargraves switches, unloader track, lionel accessories

I have an unusual question about the Lionel Mainline Crossing Gates 6-14098. I live in Australia where we drive on the opposite side of the road. So ideally the gate on the near side of the track should be on the left side, not the right. What would be involved in rotating the signs and lights on the post 180 degrees so they face the opposite direction? Could the signs and lights be removed from the posts. Or would it necessitate cutting and gluing the posts?
