In need of a 46 or 47/48 Plymouth for a scene I'm building. Seems all I see are mid 50s Plymouths. Any help appreciated

Dinky made a "toy like" '46 wagon (usually goes for $100. or so), and Conquest made a "hand built" '47 convertible in various colors, which can cost you about $250. Both of these are currently on eBay. My reference book shows no others.
I've also wanted one for years, a 4-door sedan, but no luck.
they just haven't been made. Best approach may be to try something similar, late '30s to late '40s Dodge, Chrysler or something that looks similar.

Thought about it, but wouldn't be the same, and I would know. Really surpise this hasn't been made, since in late 50s and early 60s, these Plymouths in my area< Northern Illinois, were bought by many High Schoolers, and saw much use on dirt tracks. 45 to 55.00 would buy a running Plymouth in great shape.
Thanks though.
IXO makes a 1946 Desoto sedan in 1/43 at about $32. It isn't out yet but coming soon from Die Cast Direct. Not a Plymouth, but for now as close as you'll get.

Didn't Vitesse (sic?) make a '46 Desoto Taxi a few years back?
I believe so, but IXO are better models.

Close...a 1947. You can also find this same basic model under the Dinky/Matchbook name as a sedan.
BTW, there are some very nice models that are part of the Dinky/Matchbox "Oldies But Goodies" series (they come in a yellow box). They include a '55 Chevy HT, '57 Chevy HT, convert, and wagon, '47 Chysler T&C, '56 Ford sedan to name a few. Some of these were once sold under the Vitesse name. There are also color variations, such as the '57 Chevy wagon that comes in black, red, or blue.
Thanks very much,

"American Wheels" 1:43 hand-built and die-cast models of American cars by Jerry Rettig. The latest edition can best be gotten by contacting him direct at jerryrettig@msn.com
Models are listed by car maker as well as model maker, no prices listed. Thanks to new offerings by Brooklin and American Excellence and a few others, these go out-of-date every few months...still, it is my 1:43 "bible".
Reminds me, I had this one. Wish I didn't sell it. It had a pull-out bed in the trunk. It was made for traveling salesmen. 1939 business man's coupe.
