Hi Folks

Looking through the O gauge auctions last night I discovered I have a question.  What is the difference between MTH protosound and PS2?  I have DCS system and do not understand the difference (compatability, runability, or soundability)  Right now I run DCS PS2 on a pair of engines and also several conv. engines.

Thank You

Tommy

Protosound or PS1 is essentially a set of sound features in a locomotive such as squealing brakes, cab chatter, and passenger station/freight yard effects.  The only "command control" feature is the ability to fire the remote coupler on an engine via the whistle button.

PS2 is a fully operation command control program which as you know from DCS give you the full range of control functions.

Thanks very much for your quick replies.  Just what I needed to know.

When I was a kid my Uncle and friends would take the ACL Orange Blossom Special from Columbia SC to Jacksonville for the Gator Bowl and then on to Miami for the Orange Bowl. I was too young to go and probably would tell everything that happened.  Anyway I was looking for the engine that would pull the passenger cars.  Good memories for me.

Dont want a PS1.  Want a PS2.
