Lots of great layout ideas can be had from these pictures. I have the same blue background, and never thought to use some cotton for clouds..  Really adds some dimension.
Nice Layout, and it sure seems a shame to dismantle it!

Ginny and I cannot thank all of you enough. We had a fabulous time with our train friends both "old" and new. As much fun as the layout has been, our train friends are much greater. Great folks, lots of laughs and who could ask for more?

Have loved watching Eliot's layout "come together" over the years thanks to this forum---it's been wonderful---I thought it was really cool when it was just wood framework and track

With each posted event the scenery/details just gets better and better

 

My favorite area of the layout (I feel like I've been there) is the harbor scene and that awesome bridgework

 

Is/are any areas of the layout going to survive and resurface on another layout---

Just curious ???

Thank you Skip for the wonderful photos. Eliot's eye for detail probably is part of what also makes him an excellent photographer. I hope he sees a point in time when he rejoins or hobby.

I also love the youtube clips posted by Scrapiron.  The Vision Line Challenger on the Munoz lines is one of my all time favorites!  Beautiful layout and Challenger!

 

The other videos posted on youtube are outstanding also.
