i was running my Legacy Dash 9 locomotive, slight derail. The GW180 red light flashed. Shut down. Put the Dash 9 back on. Since them when I power up, the red light flashes on the GW180. All cars are off of track except for locomotive. Any ideas?

and the 180 is fine without the engine on the track. You have a short in the engine then. One wild guess is that the wire (probably red) that ties the two roller pickups together inside the engine has melted insulation and is shorting to the frame.
Thanks for your response. I assume that means taking for repair. Geez, its brand new.
Did you turn the 180 brick off and then back on.

and/or unplug the brick and then reset the breaker by pushing the red button.
Does it trip the breaker without anything on the track? Does anything with a pickup roller trip it?
What type of track? Have had issues with tubular track and the center rail insulator too.
Check and make sure the roller didn't jam in the up position when it derailed.
Hi. Thanks. I did unplug the GW. I am able to run a 1953 Lionel steam locomotive on the track. The local store thinks there is short. It is Fast track.
