I would like to see the pic again . I would like info about it to build ; to build something similar.

I have a double helix on a much smaller scale, made by Marx as part of a sears set.

Wow BillYo414,  that's my helix.  It's been moved from Florida to my basement in Virginia.  It's about 18' across and 7 1/2' high.  The bridges span 6'.

Frisco, if you're thinking of something like this I'll be glad to share construction methods.   My email is in my profile.

There is a local O-Gauge display in the town near me that has a great permanent layout depicting downtown, Mebane ,NC.  In an adjacent room filled with trains in display cases is a double concentric helix built into a Christmas tree.  The helix is configured as one continuous loop.

At York, MTH had a double helix display back in the 90's in the Yellow Hall when Mike was just starting his own line of trains. Very impressive. Did anyone here take photos?

Didn't hennings trains do something like this for the polar express a few years back.  I bet if you search a bit you will find the post aling with the plans.  As i recall they were comprehensive.

Did you ever wonder where the design of that tree came from?  Bill Henning designed that in 2014 and a number of people got the plans for it and constructed them.

Although I've never asked the Mebane Train Display docents or actually wondered where the plan came from, now I have a good idea.   The resemblance is striking.
