Is it a 2-rail/3-rail engine? If so, make sure that the 2-rail/3-rail switch is in the 3-rail position.

Do you have DCS or are you a conventional runner?
In conventional mode the engine should start up with sound lights etc. If not the power supply wires to the circuit board may have come un-plugged. There's usually a red from the center rollers and a black (chassis ground along with 3 other wire (tack reader) that plug into the board. Check it out.

If you have DCS the engine should remain dark & silent until addressed by the remote. Can you hear any thing at all in dcs mode, a faint click of a relay ?

It's a 3 rail prot 2 not conventional

Did you try running the engine in conventional mode without going through the TIU just to see if it responds? If it doesn't respond in conventional, it could be a number of things to look for.

The sd,mac won't start in conditional or command.I think it is a board

It seems strange to have worked on the track where you serviced the engine.

Maybe a wire plug just came loose to the board or something. I sure hope a wire didn't get pinched replacing the shell after getting serviced. It's easy to do. If so it could take out the board.

I bought some extra small cable ties to pull the wires in if they want to stick out in the way of the shell.

Does the DCS find your engine when you do a read? If not maybe a low battery? If you are using 4.2,try a recover engine feature.

I would check pick-up and ground wires at the trucks.

OK take the shell off and look for a disconnected plug or broken wire that goes from the trucks to the circuit board .On the other hand take it back to the guys that cleaned the wheels.

Sent engine back to service center, stay tuned for the outcome. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks for all your input, i've learned a lot.
