I am trying to create a drawing using the RGB color model. Can anyone suggest the proper palette numbers - Red, Green, Blue to create a passable Tuscan color?
I don't remember how much research I did when I came up with 165, 52, 52 in 2012 when I was doing painting diagrams for 3rd Rail E7s in Photoshop. It looks plausible to me.
As I'm sure you know, Tuscan Red drifts considerable depending on when it used. Over time the color drifted darker on the PRR. However, for a computer graphic, that probably isn't a big issue for you?
Typical of the Pennsylvania Railroad system..."Tuscan red has a hex code #7C3030, made from almost equal parts of black, yellow and magenta in the CMYK color system."
