Hi, All;

I'm running Atlas 21st Century track.  I have one section of track with the optional control rails installed.

What I'd like to know is: Can I place the horse corral on one side of the track and the milk car platform on the other? The milk platform is short enough that it will fit between the "spacer legs" of the horse corral.

Aside from electronic isolation of the corral, is there anything electrically that will prevent / hinder operation of either?

Thanks!

Carl

One question or issue - I may be wrong as I haven't had these on the layout in a while but I thought that, for the corral, the control rails had to be wired in tandem with the corral itself (to move the horses through the corral).

This wouldn't be desirable when trying to use the milk car.

Hi, Graz;

Thanks for the quick reply. I believe you're correct - that's why I intended to put a switch in between the track and the corral in order to turn off that part when a milk car was present.

I just didn't know if one or the other cars required more than just the 3 rails plus a control rail on each 1/2 of the track. (that doesn't sound very clear).  What I mean is that a UCS track has 4 control rails - two on each side of the middle rail. The Atlas "kit" only has 2 rails that mirror more of the 027 version of the UCS.

Thanks again;
