Well I had a bout 15 kids and a dozen+ adults into see the layout.  Thank goodness the kids can be handed the remote and they can run the show.  But when this layout comes down after the first of the year I may not miss it.  Funny part is my Dad was out looking for stuff for our display window in the front of the store and walked out of the Train Shack with 4 structures, trees, figures -  Looks like they will fit in nice in the next layout.  LOL and thanks Dad!

Quick!  Call your doctor!  I think there is a pill for that!  For the past several years our group has done the Festival of Trees and then roll right into Holiday Nights at Greenfield Village.  Starting the first weekend in November to the first weekend in February, we have our trains set up and running some place.  For me, watching the little kids faces is beyond words.  As I have said, we have been doing this for a number of years.  In that time, we have some people who have been regulars each year.  Seeing how much a child has changed from year to year is also beyond words for me.  Today, a young boy and his sister came by the layout.  I remember him being in the stroller when I first met them.  He is now in the fourth grade!  Drained out?  Possibly.  Trained out?  NEVER!
