Except for a carbarn a few miles up the road, and scattered substations seen doing
other duty....there is little evidence of their lines that I have found. Back in the
1970's I could find more, but new highways and other construction seem to have
quickly obliterated theirs and abandoned steam roads' presence. Along U.S. 40 in
eastern Indiana there was a lot of evidence of them....hard to find now. Ridden
one at a museum some years ago. Museum has closed, I think. Ridden them in
Europe, out into the countryside from the cities, as once existed here.
