IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!! Share your team track photos here!
Team tracks are vital to real railroad operations. Team tracks are undesignated ( not serving a specific industry such as an oil distributor, warehouse, coal company, etc. ) spurs/sidings on which practically every kind of freight car can be on/off loaded. Some passenger head end equipment and MOW equipment can also be on/off loaded on team tracks. Team tracks can be found in remote rural locations, small towns, and large cities.
This week on the Free State Junction Railroad's team track number 2 located in lower Patsburg, we have a reffer load of meat being unloaded onto a tractor trailer. The freight car is almost empty as the forklift operator swings his machine into the trailer one
more time with another wooden case of half smokes. Once fully loaded, the trailer is bound for delivery at several IGA Supermarkets within Patsburg and the surrounding metropolitan area. Otto, the truck driver leans against his tractor and waits patiently as the loading crew finishes up.
