IMG_1753IMG_1752IMG_1754IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!!!!   Team tracks are a vital part of day to day railway operations.  Team tracks are found in remote rural areas, small towns, and large cities.   Most all types of freight cars can be off/on loaded on team tracks.   MOW equipment and some passenger head end equipment can also be on/off loaded on team tracks.

All team track photos are welcome form museum quality to simple tin plate ovals with an undedicated siding.  Share your team track photos here!

October Fest Weekend is this coming weekend in Patsburg!  The October Fest beer has arrived in a special reffer from California where this nice hand crafted brew is produced.  There will be lots of "oompah music " as 150 tuba players will come to Patburg to drink beer, eat saucer kraut, knockwurst,  and play their Octtuba Fest ( It's true Oct tuba fests really do happen ) music.  It will be a jolly time!!

Please feel free to post your team track photos here and lets see what's being on/off loaded on your railroad's team tracks. Have a wonderfully creative and fun week!  See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK!

Greetings from the RSJ&B- Happy Team Track Tuesday!

Great posts everyone- Patrick- can you deliver any of that beer to LI?

This week the crew is installing the diesel sand tower at the service facility. PRR 99 is providing the power and old reliable #2660 is doing the heavy lifting.

First the pre-cast base has to be set in place

Once the base is done, the tower is brought in. The crane had to be moved to the high-line in order to do the lift.

Hey Guys -  Great photos!!  It's just amazing how we all keep coming up with different scenes each week!  IMAGINE that!!

Tim - That M&M boxcar is just arriving in time so the M&Ms can be delivered to candy distributors for Halloween.  Nice ambulance with headlights btw!  Great scene as well!

Brian - Got to love your prototype team track photos!  Very nice! The foreign ones add a nice dimension and that excavator is really digging deep!

Coach Joe - It's always great to see you on the Team Track!  Thanks for stopping by!

Mark - Love those marble slabs!!  Wonderful pics of the slabs hovering close to flat car deck!  Your Rutland flatcar is wonderfully weathered and you did a great job on the ballast and weathering of the rails!

Bob - I'll talk to the yard superintendent and see if he can get a car load of that Octoberfest dispatched over to LI .... no guarantees though, for he is a grumpy guy   Btw - is diesel sand different from steam sand?   Very nice photos of your team track operation!

I'll see everyone next Tuesday on the TEAM TRACK!!  Have a wonderfully creative week!!
